The business of design is a "for profit - service & product based business" and just like any other related business your contract should be funded prior to producing your design documents and product should be paid for in full prior to ordering. We are not a net 30 type of business model so don't let your clients pressure you into doing business the way they do. This is your business  and together as a group we'll discuss and share strategies to implementing payment terms that fund your business, not strain your business. 

HOMEWORK: Grab your contract and review your payment terms. Write down your biggest challenge associated with collecting up-front and be prepared to share it with the group.
